PetAlarm is developed and operated by Canopy ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Who We Are

We do not collect: your name, email, location, contacts, photos, microphone input, health data, or any personally identifiable information. PetAlarm requires no account to use.
3. Data We Collect in Detail
3.1 Anonymous Device Identifier
When you make a purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat generates an anonymous identifier tied to your device. This ID is not linked to your Apple ID, name, or any information that identifies you personally.
Purpose: Validate your subscription and restore it if you reinstall the app. Retention: For the duration of your subscription + 90 days.
3.2 Purchase History
When you purchase PetAlarm Pro (monthly or yearly), RevenueCat records that a purchase was made from your anonymous device. No payment details are ever shared with us — all billing is handled entirely by Apple.
Purpose: Grant you access to premium features and allow you to restore your purchase on the same or a new device. Retention: For the duration of your subscription + 90 days.
3.3 Local Notifications
PetAlarm schedules daily alarm notifications entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers. We never know what time you set your alarm.
4. Data We Do NOT Collect
- No name, email, or account
- No location data
- No microphone or camera
- No contacts or address book
- No health or fitness data
- No browsing history or search history
- No crash logs sent to us (standard Apple crash reports may be submitted to Apple under Apple's own privacy policy if you opt in on your device)
5. Third-Party Services
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to process and manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect your anonymous device ID and purchase history as described above.

Apple App Store
All payments are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment method, credit card number, or full name. Apple's privacy policy governs all billing data: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
6. Advertising and Tracking
PetAlarm does not run ads. PetAlarm does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
The app declares NSPrivacyTracking = false — no tracking frameworks
are included.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We share anonymous device identifiers with RevenueCat solely to process your subscription, as described in Section 5.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights, but given that we hold no personally identifiable information, such disclosure would contain no data that could identify you.
8. Children's Privacy
PetAlarm does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app contains no advertising and requires no account, making it suitable for all ages. If you believe a child has inadvertently provided us with personal information, contact us at contact@bycanopy.app and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — know what data we hold about you
- Deletion — request that we delete your data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Correction — correct inaccurate data
- Opt-out of sale — we do not sell data, so this right is already fulfilled
Because PetAlarm collects only an anonymous device ID (not linked to your identity), we cannot guarantee we can locate or delete a specific record without additional information from you (e.g., your RevenueCat anonymous ID, found in device logs).

10. Data Security
We rely on RevenueCat's industry-standard security practices for the anonymous purchase data they process. PetAlarm itself stores all game data (your pet's name, alarm time, HP, streak) locally on your device only, using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PetAlarm after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
